Sloppy, Hedonistic fun with Yaeger

Heat is missing from summer in more ways than one – on their latest track, “Devil Mode”, Yaeger aims to change that.

Yes, it might be June, but pop is experiencing seasonal depression of late: Taylor Swift is an oh-so “tortured poet“; Charli XCX is grappling with an inferiority complex; and lower down the totem pole, 2hollis is busy learning what his first heartbreak is. The name Prozac springs to mind. But as luck would have it, Yaeger has just the stuff we need, cutting from party to party in a display of sloppy, hedonistic 2-step fun.

The whole thing feels as liberating as it is anthemic. Just take how the Swede devotes herself to wild abandon, completely surrendering her physical body to the waggish whims of the girl in the mirror, all without out giving a hoot or holla of a fuck – “She bout to leave me stray / No getting out, just bow down”. Simple solstitial joy is the order of the day here.
